AI Applications Across the Operations Workflow

DK, R&D and Design Director of Yizhong Trade, presenting AI application scenariosDirector DK explaining the operational advantages of AI over manual work

During the on-site sharing, Director DK demonstrated the full-scene practical applications and practical effects of AI technology deployed by Yizhong Trade in cross-border e-commerce operations. The detailed application scenarios cover core links including product development, product operation, data analysis, review analysis and after-sales service.

He emphasized the obvious operational advantages of AI compared with manual work. Manual operation is inevitably subject to uncertainties and inefficiencies — for instance, design staff may face creative burnout and low productivity in product design work. In contrast, AI features stable and sustained execution capabilities. He pointed out that exploring and applying AI tools to help cross-border enterprises reduce operational costs and improve overall efficiency is a crucial and worthy research direction for the entire industry.

Lessons from the Temu Semi-Hosted Model

Subsequently, Yuan Fengyun, General Manager of Xiamen Mars Chain Technology Co., Ltd., was invited as a special guest to share his practical pitfalls and operational experience of the Temu semi-hosted model with participating sellers. He shared that due to insufficient industry experience in the early stage, his team launched product sales immediately after goods arrived at the overseas warehouse. However, multiple uncertain factors in the subsequent process led to delayed shipments and failure to meet expected logistics timeliness, resulting in unnecessary operational losses.

Based on his real experience, General Manager Yuan put forward a practical industry suggestion: sellers should wait until goods are fully uploaded and displayed on the platform system before activating inventory sales, so as to effectively avoid logistics and delivery risks.

Q&A and Closing Remarks

During the interactive session, participating sellers actively raised questions concerning core operational difficulties, including multi-warehouse layout planning, inventory data management, scientific inventory prediction and pricing rules for different cross-border platforms. The on-site exchanges were enthusiastic with in-depth discussions on practical operational solutions.

Finally, Lin Zhen, rotating president of the association for the current month and General Manager of Xiamen Oucheng Sheng Trading Co., Ltd., delivered a concluding speech. He highly affirmed the value of this seminar and exchange activity. He noted that Director DK's sharing on AI application is highly practical and referable for industry peers, while General Manager Yuan's real pitfall experience provides valuable practical guidance for enterprises engaged in the Temu semi-hosted business.

Meanwhile, President Lin put forward targeted operational suggestions for enterprises planning to deploy businesses on platforms such as Temu and SHEIN. He stressed that enterprises should adhere to a down-to-earth operational philosophy and clarify their precise market positioning. It is inadvisable to pursue product sales and brand building simultaneously in the early stage of operation. In particular, for the full-hosted model, the intervention of the enterprise's finance department is indispensable throughout the operation process. Otherwise, enterprises may face a situation where operational profits cannot cover platform penalties, resulting in actual losses.
